UPPER AND LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY

photo

Upper and lower blepharoplasty is a good option for clients who have saggy eyelids, excess fat around the upper and/or lower eyes or who look tired.

How much does it cost?

The pricing for Blepharoplasty is set in two categories:

Upper or Lower: $2750 each
Combination of both: $5250

Does it hurt?

Local anesthetic is provided, allowing minimal pain during the procedure. Many clients are surprised by the absence of pain and discomfort afterward.

What is the downtime?

Clients must rest for two days, and refrain from bending over or stooping for one week. Exercise is restricted for two weeks. Bruising is likely and is usually gone by the time the stitches are removed in one week.

How many treatments will I need?

Generally a one-time treatment.

Medical note:

Clients should not take any blood thinners (ie: vitamin E, aspirin or coumadin) for two weeks prior to treatment, for they will increase your likelihood of bruising.

Treatment cannot be administered if you are pregnant.

Please notify the staff of all prescriptions prior to scheduling.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Keep head elevated by 45 degrees for five days. Sleep on your back for 10 days.
  • No lifting, bending, stooping, straining or stressing your body for seven days. Avoid strenuous exercise for two weeks.
  • Do not smoke during the recovery period.
  • Swelling and bruising is variable, but is generally gone in one to two weeks. Frozen peas in a baggie make great ice packs to help reduce the swelling. Use for 15 minutes per hour while awake for two days.
  • Recommended ointment should be applied twice daily on any sutures.
  • Sutures are removed on day seven. Makeup may be applied afterward.
  • Avoid hot showers for five days or bleeding may occur. Cooler showers are permissible from the neck down. Hair should be washed “salon style” over a sink with help if washing your hair.
