TCA CHEMICAL AND MICROLASER PEELS

Chemical and microlaser peels are good options for those who are looking to smooth uneven skin tones and surface irregularities, and enhance skin glow and radiance. This treatment is a strong compliment to Botox® treatments.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the number of areas treated and to what extent.

$800 - $2000

Does it hurt?

There is a brief, mild stinging sensation during the treatment, but the medical staff at Aspire will provide means of relief. It feels like a sunburn for two days.

What is the downtime?

Peel clients need two days to get through the sunburn sensation. Peeling will begin on day four and lasts about two days.

How many treatments will I need?

Ideally, to see best results with both laser and chemical treatments, a series of peels is most effective.

Medical note:

Clients should not be using any exfoliating or skin irritating medications, such as Retin-A, for two weeks before the procedure.

Avoid the sun for two weeks before and after your treatment.

The laser can remove pigment from tanned skin.

Treatments cannot be administered if you are pregnant.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  • A sunburn sensation is common and usually lasts two days.
  • Wash your face with cool water soaks and gentle cleanser for three days. Remove any loose, light crusts by gently rolling (NOT DRAGGING) Q-tips over the area. Do not pick off any strongly adherent crusts. A cool compress may be applied to reduce stinging sensations.
  • Apply Aquaphor® or Elta® ointment four times a day for one to two days. A light moisturizer is usually sufficient thereafter, but will usually tingle the first time it is applied. Please ask our staff for recommendations if you don’t already have one.
  • Your skin may feel tight or start to peel a few days after the treatment. Do not pick or peel the skin. Allow the exfoliation process to occur naturally. This is expected more with TCA chemical peels and less with microlaser peels.
  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Sunscreen should be used everyday. If you need a recommendation, please ask. We will be happy to help you.
