INTENSE PULSED LIGHT
Intense pulsed light is a good option for clients who want to treat the photodamage of their skin, especially a mix of brown and red spots.
How much does it cost?
$100 - $2000 per single treatment.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is performed with a cooling device for your comfort. Each IPL pulse feels like a light warm zing of energy.
What is the downtime?
Brown spots darken before they improve, and peel off in one week. You may experience some slight swelling and redness for the first day, though this resolves very quickly. You can return to work the same day.
How many treatments will I need?
Every four weeks for a series of five treatments.
Medical note:
Clients should not take any medications that indicate “no prolonged sun exposure.”
Avoid the sun for two weeks before and after your treatment. The laser can remove pigment from tanned skin.

- Cosmetics may be applied immediately after treatment.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Sunscreen should be used everyday. If you need a recommendation, please ask. We will be happy to help you.
- Avoid picking or scratching the treatment areas.
- Blistering, peeling, darkening or lightening of the skin are all possible, but less common. Avoiding the sun reduces the chances of many of these concerns.
