Brown Spot treatment is a good option for those who are concerned about sun-induced brown spots, pregnancy masks, birthmarks or freckles.

How much does it cost?

Brown spot treatment pricing depends on the number of areas treated.

$200 - $1500 for the single treatment.

Does it hurt?

Does it hurt? Clients will feel a warm sensation and a very light pricking to the skin surface during the procedure. Ice packs and/or topical anesthetics may be applied.

What is the downtime?

Spots become darker immediately after treatment and last about seven to 10 days. The treated areas will appear flaky and have a light ‘peppered” appearance. A client may return to work the same day, and cosmetics may be applied to conceal the spots if desired.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on the severity of the case and response to treatment, some clients will need multiple treatments spaced a month apart. Yet, most clients are cleared in a single treatment.

Medical note:

Clients should not take any medications that indicate “no prolonged sun exposure.”

Avoid the sun for two weeks before and after your treatment.

The laser can remove pigment from tanned skin.

Treatment cannot be administered if you are pregnant.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Redness, slight swelling, and a warm sensation are common around the spot and can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
• The color of the spot may darken and can take from seven to 10 days to flake off. Picking or scrubbing the spot can cause discoloration to the area, so please leave them alone.
• Wash the area with a gentle cleanser for the next two days and then go back to your regular skincare regimen.
• Apply Polysporin® or Aquaphor® ointment to the treatment areas four times a day until it is completely healed (1-2 weeks).
• Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Sunscreen should be used everyday. If you need a recommendation, please ask. We will be happy to help you.
• Cosmetics can be applied the same day to conceal darker spots.
